Install door gaskets
Before installation
• Remove the seal from the packaging immediately upon receipt.
• Always hold the seal by the corners to prevent the corners from tearing out and/or magnet breakage.
• Place the seal unfolded.
• Allow the seal to get used to the ambient temperature.
• Heat any wrinkles (caused by transport or storage) evenly with a hairdryer to remove them.
• Carefully remove the seal to be replaced.
• Thoroughly clean the door and cabinet perimeter where the seal closes. Use a clean cloth and a professional cleaning agent.
• Before installing, disinfect the door and cabinet perimeter where the seal closes with an approved disinfectant. Allow the product to work for 30 seconds and wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.
The installation
• Place the corners of the seal first, then the short ones and then the long ones sides, to prevent the seal from stretching (getting longer).
• When pressing seals all around, check whether the impression is properly in the groove so that the seal is flat.
• Where necessary, use a hair dryer to remove any folds and/or cracks.
• Any processed magnetic strips have a less strong attraction immediately after installation; it takes several weeks before the magnet has developed its maximum attraction.
• If a corner tears during installation, this can be repaired with superglue.
If the gasket does not close properly, check the following points
• Have the profile type and dimensions been ordered correctly?
• Is the seal all around properly secured in the impression groove and flat (blow-dried)?
• Is the door, drawer or lid bent or crooked?
• Is there a counter magnet in the cabinet edge?
• Does the seal pinch on the hinge side? If so, readjust the hinges.
